Acquired in Burgundy, France, this beautiful hand-thrown antique french jug or cruche originates from a local vineyard where it would have been likely have been used to store wine.
Thought to date to around the mid 1700s, this exceptional piece has defied the odds and sustained little to no damage over the last few hundred years. Originally created with function in mind, it is now to be enjoyed for its wonderful form; we love the dripped and cracked glaze to the exterior of the piece.
